The East Asia Center at the University of California, Santa Barbara promotes interdisciplinary research, scholarly development, and cultural events on East Asia. It leverages UCSB’s incredible depth of faculty and student expertise on East Asia to promote the study of East Asia across departmental, disciplinary, and divisional boundaries. Through its programming, sponsorships, and Visiting Scholar Program, EAC fosters deep relationships between scholars and students at UCSB and those in the East Asian region as well as between the academy and the public.
